With determination, the trail of evidence and community tips guided detectives to 4504 Summersun Ct., the resting place of the suspect truck, bearing evidence of its heinous role in the young man's death, corroborated by damage matching the scene and pieces connecting missing parts of the vehicle to those found on the ground where the man's life was claimed.

Further investigation indicated Manuel Gonzalez, a Hispanic male born on September 23, 1983, as the sole individual with access to and reported to be the driver of the Nissan Titan, several witnesses noted they saw Gonzalez making his way home during the early morning, his vehicle displaying fresh wounds from the night's events, this led to his arrest just after 11 p.m. on the same day and charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash Resulting in Death (Vulnerable Road User), he was later escorted to Orient Road Jail while his pickup truck was seized.
