
A family dispute turned fatal in North Harris County where a 17-year-old, Keion Atlee, is charged with the murder of his 21-year-old brother, Jyzell Atlee. Click2Houston reports that the initial charge of aggravated assault was upgraded after Jyzell Atlee succumbed to stab wounds sustained during an altercation last Sunday.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call at about 7:30 p.m. in the 18200 block of Chisholm Trail on the day of the incident. What they discovered was the severely wounded Jyzell, who was quickly transported to a hospital in critical condition. His brother, Keion, was shortly detained and questioned. The officers did not immediately clarify the location of the stabbing or to fully discern the involvement of other parties, although some individuals were reported to have fled the scene.
Further investigation confirmed the altercation between the brothers, leading to Keion Atlee's arrest. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez of Harris County updated the public through an X post, sharing that the charges against Keion were escalated following Jyzell's death last Sunday. As of now, Keion remains in custody at the Harris County Jail.
