
A 17-year-old boy is left battling for his life following a harrowing incident in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood. According to FOX 29, the police arrived at the 2000 block of Albright Street late Sunday to a reported shooting, finding the scene scattered with at least eight shell casings.
"The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was transported by private vehicle to a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body," FOX 29's Steve Keeley said.
Further details emerged as 6abc reported that the teenager was critically wounded after being shot in the stomach while sitting on his porch, the assailant reportedly hiding behind the anonymity of a ski mask and windbreaker.
Weapons were recovered at the scene, yet despite this break in the case, the shooter remains at large. In a message to the community, law enforcement officials state, "Anyone who may have information ion this incident is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Department's Shooting Investigation Group at 215-686-8270," as NBC Philadelphia informed.
