A Thanksgiving Day accident in Manteca has left a Tracy man in serious condition and a dog unaccounted for following a single-vehicle rollover crash, authorities report. According to the ABC10, the crash occurred after 11 a.m. near the intersection of W. Louise Avenue and Union Road when a Ford truck, driven by a 24-year-old, veered off the road.
The Manteca Police Department described how the truck collided with several trees and a water main before rolling over, which led to quickly eject the driver and his dog from the vehicle. As per a report by KCRA, the man was discovered unconscious but breathing and was subsequently transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Sadly, the dog, present at the time of the accident, fled the scene and remains missing. This incident has not only sparked an investigation into the crash but also an ongoing search for the missing canine companion. The roads surrounding the crash site were closed for an extended period as officers conducted their investigation, causing significant traffic disruptions during the holiday, as per ABC10.
