A tragic fire in a Phoenix mobile home has claimed the lives of two individuals and inflicted severe burns upon three others. The incident reportedly occurred yesterday morning near Cave Creek Road and Union Hills Drive, as firefighters responded to the scene before 10 a.m., according to a report by ABC15.

Found inside the mobile home, five people were, with two being pronounced dead at the location. In stable condition, the other three victims received transportation to a hospital, suffering from burn injuries. As yet unidentified, the names of the deceased have been withheld. The cause behind this conflagration still eludes investigators and remains under investigation, the report further elaborated.

The acute devastation of the fire was described in a wrenching account provided by Marisol Ross Lopez, a friend of the victims, in an interview obtained by FOX10 Phoenix. Lopez, who was present when the disaster unfolded, spoke of an explosion that shook the neighborhood, all the while the occupants of the home were trapped and looking to her for assistance. "They're looking at me, like to help them, but I can't help them," Ross Lopez said.

A testament to the swiftness of the disaster, Axel Ramirez, a neighbor who witnessed the event, recounted the scene, saying, "Just crazy. Like it was an explosion, and it was just very crazy because everybody heard it and everybody came outside," implicating the magnitude of noise produced by the sudden inferno. Both sides of the mobile home were scorched beyond recognition, with flames rising amidst the chaos as described by Ramirez, "They just blew up in the middle, and it was just like flames rising," a statement obtained by FOX10 Phoenix.

Phoenix Fire Capt. Todd Keller emphasized the life-saving potential of smoke detectors. "Have your smoke detectors installed," Keller stated. "They absolutely do save lives." The Phoenix Fire Department continues to investigate the blaze's origin, as per FOX10 Phoenix.
