San Bernardino authorities have taken two men into custody in connection with a stabbing that transpired two months prior in Loma Linda. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department confirmed the arrests of George Anthony Avila, 19, and George Moses Avila, 40, both residents of Redlands, for their alleged involvement in the September incident.

Both suspects were arrested on Wednesday and face charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, with bail set at $1 million. San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department declared, "Through further investigation, Central Station's Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) deputies identifed George Anthony Avila  and George Moses Avila as the primary suspects involved in the stabbing." They are now awaiting trial at Central Detention Center.

According to the sheriff's initial report, the crime scene is a known hotspot for illegal drug activities, so many had suspected the motive to possibly revolve around fentanyl-related transactions. Witnesses had earlier described a Hispanic male, referred to as "Lil G," and a white male, as well as their vehicle, a dark blue sedan with tinted windows.

While the investigation continues, authorities remain open to receiving additional information. Detective K. Garabedian from the Sheriff’s Central Station is the point of contact for tips. The department has also offered the option to report anonymously via We-Tip at 1-888-78-CRIME for those who prefer to share information without disclosing their identity.
