A group of juveniles were detained after a carjacking incident in Baltimore's Northwest District, with two teens facing formal charges, according to a recent post by the Baltimore Police. The event occurred yesterday when officers were called to the 3300 block of Clarks Lane following a robbery report involving vehicle theft.
The victim, a 79-year-old man, reported that he had been physically assaulted by two unidentified suspects, who could have been juveniles. After the altercation, the suspects escaped with the man's SUV, leaving him behind to contend with shoulder pain. Thankfully, the victim's injuries were minor enough to be treated on the scene by medics, Baltimore Police conveyed in their social media update.

On November 14, 2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of Clarks Lane to investigate a call for a carjacking.

Using air surveillance, the police Foxtrot unit located the stolen SUV. After a short chase, the vehicle crashed into a light pole and became inoperable. Several juveniles inside abandoned the SUV at North Avenue and Eutaw Street, trying to escape on foot, but officers quickly detained them.
Of the juveniles apprehended, two 15-year-old males were arrested and are currently under the care of the Juvenile Justice Center, where they are being processed and charged for their alleged involvement in the crime. The remaining six were given medical attention and released to either a parent or guardian, with juvenile referrals pending.
