As reported by the U.S. Marshals Service, Patton was apprehended today at an apartment on Cambridge Street, concluding a pursuit from Cleveland to Nevada.
The nightmare began on January 17, when Cleveland police officers were called to a fatal shooting at East 95th Street and Pratt Avenue. There, they discovered Martin Johnson, only 27, shot dead in his front yard with a wound to the waist – an incident that would soon propel Patton's name to the forefront as a suspect, setting off a cross-country manhunt. The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force was on his heels, developing leads that pointed 2,000 miles westward until the trail went cold in the heart of Las Vegas.
