On Wednesday evening, a University of North Texas (UNT) student's routine took an unsettling turn when she was followed and subsequently assaulted, prompting a response from the UNT Police Department. According to the University of North Texas Police Department, the female student reported being tailed by an unidentified male from the Union area to Legends Hall around 9 p.m. The interaction escalated from invasive questioning to physical violation, where the suspect reportedly asked for her phone number and address, later touching her inappropriately in the elevator within Legends Hall.
Authorities have taken this incident seriously, and the UNT Police are actively on the case.
