
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is seeking assistance from the public in locating 16-year-old Antonia Cocom Ajqui and her 3-month-old daughter Katarina Lucia Chovon Cocom, who have been reported missing in Palmdale since Tuesday, November 26. According to KTLA, the young mother and her infant were last seen around noon in the 37900 block of San Carlos Way. Antonia is described as being 4 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 114 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes; she was wearing a red shirt, black pants, and white shoes when she was last spotted.
A Facebook post by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department elaborates on the concern for their well-being, highlighting the family's worry for Antonia and Katarina, the latter described as 1'10" tall, 11 pounds, bald with brown eyes, last seen wearing a pink onesie. The authorities did not divulge further information on the circumstances surrounding their disappearance, however, they have reasons to believe that Antonia might have been planning to travel to the 300 block of South Westlake Avenue in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The concerned community and family members are anxiously awaiting any news regarding the whereabouts of the young mother and child, with the Sheriff's Department urging anyone with information to come forward. In their statement made by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, officials mentioned individuals can also contact Detective Chavez or the on-duty Watch Commander at the Palmdale Station directly at 661-272-2400.
