According to a press release by the Vallejo Police Department, on Sunday at around 8:55 P.M., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Yorkshire Court following reports of an injury collision and gunshots. Arriving, first responders encountered a black sedan that had crashed into a light pole. Inside, two adult male individuals were found with gunshot wounds.
Per the Vallejo Police Department, efforts to save the two men were in vain. Despite the prompt medical aid provided at the scene, the individuals were pronounced deceased, marking the 22nd and 23rd homicides in Vallejo this year. The Solano County Coroner’s Office has taken on the somber duty of identifying the victims, whose names have not yet been disclosed pending notification of their families. The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division is actively investigating the motive and circumstances of the shooting.
