The closure at 91st and Appleton is not the only one in Milwaukee. Earlier this month, the store at 26th and National closed, and another at Teutonia and Capitol closed in January. These closures reflect changes in pharmacy retail and could impact access to pharmacy services in those neighborhoods, according to TMJ4.
Ald. Westmoreland is "actively working" to bring additional pharmacy options to the area to ensure residents have access to essential services following the Walgreens closure, as mentioned in a press release quoted by CBS58.
