Long Beach residents looking to shake off the winter chill with some fun and engaging activities are in luck. The City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) has just opened registration for its winter recreation classes, with a lineup that spans from December 2024 through February 2025. More than 600 activities are scheduled to take place, catering to different age groups and interests, as reported by the City of Long Beach.
Activities range from preschool cake design for toddlers to a Biddy Soccer League, ensuring that even the youngest city dwellers, can get in on the action. For youth, there's Jazz Tap and Beginning Karate among others, while adults can look forward to classes like Ceramics Workshop and Cardio Kickboxing Fusion, according to the official press release. Older adults haven't been forgotten, with a selection designed for those aged 50 and over, including Senior Line Dancing, Gentle Yoga, and Zumba® Gold.
To make the registration process as seamless as possible, residents can sign up for classes online at lbparks.org, by calling 562.570.3111, or by visiting the Registration Reservations Office on Studebaker Rd. The office is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and for those who prefer a personal touch, convenient in-person registration appointments are also available.
