West Sacramento will experience nightly road closures as part of the Yolo 50/80 Corridor improvement project, which will run until November 27. Closures will occur from 10 PM to 5 AM Sunday through Thursday and from 11 PM to 6 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, according to the City of West Sacramento website.
Travelers heading west on I-80 to eastbound Hwy 50 will need to take a detour via the Reed Avenue Offramp. Those traveling eastbound on Hwy 50 to West Sacramento will need to detour via the 5th Street exit to re-enter westbound. Key ramps at Enterprise and Harbor Boulevards will have intermittent closures. Commuters should expect potential delays and follow detour signs.
The improvement project aims to enhance the city's infrastructure. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and be prepared for temporary disruptions.
