A West Sacramento man is facing a slew of charges after an investigation by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office alleges prolonged sexual assault of a minor. On Friday, 46-year-old Scott Ervin Bezona was arrested following a report from the victim detailing abuse and drugging that started in 2020 and persisted until 2023, while she was still underage. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office made the details of the arrest public through a social media post detailing the charges.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post, Bezona, who hails from West Sacramento, has been booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on multiple counts that include lewd acts and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. Specifically, the charges are six counts of Lewd Acts on a Child where the victim is 14 or 15 & the Defendant is 10 years older, along with 12 counts of Oral Copulation when the Defendant is over 21 years old & the Victim is under 16 years old, and more. The suspect is also accused of furnishing a minor with controlled substances in four instances. With no bail currently set, Bezona was scheduled for a court appearance on November 26.
