A 23-year-old woman is struggling for her life after a shooting incident in Baltimore's Southern District, authorities reported. According to a statement detailed by CBS News Baltimore, the incident occurred yesterday morning on the 600 block of Baltic Avenue in the Brooklyn neighborhood.
Responding to a call at approximately 8:36 a.m., Southern District officers discovered through speaking with a family member that the victim had been found suffering from what seemed, at first, to be a laceration to the back of her head while inside a home. This family member reported the young woman to the officers upon their arrival after making the grim discovery. She was swiftly transported to the hospital, where it was confirmed, according to Fox Baltimore, that the wound was, in fact, the result of a gunshot.
