
A 74-year-old Zeeland Township man was injured in a hit-and-run incident last night when a gray Volkswagen SUV struck him and failed to stop. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office reported that the accident occurred around 6:15 p.m. near the intersection of 88th Avenue and Riley Street. Authorities say the vehicle drove over the curb, hit a sign, and the pedestrian before fleeing the scene. According to information given to FOX17, the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Despite the injuries, the victim refused medical treatment at the scene, as detailed by deputies.
