A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened last Friday evening in Houston, which led to the death of a young man. The suspect, 21-year-old Zariah Nicole Green, is facing murder charges. The shooting occurred around 6:05 p.m. at a convenience store on 3135 Akard Street. Authorities have released her booking photo, according to the Houston Police Department.
The identity of the male victim, 21 years old, has not been released pending family notification. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is handling the identification. Houston Police Department's Homicide Division, including Detectives G. Range and J. Meister, responded quickly to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
