A tragic incident occurred earlier today on the East Freeway, resulting in the death of a 64-year-old man. According to CW39, the man was struck and killed while attempting to cross the freeway near 11800 East Freeway just after 1 a.m.
The victim, who has not been named, was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound on the inside lane. Despite the driver's inability to avoid the collision, he did stop immediately and cooperated with the authorities, as per FOX 26 Houston. The victim was found wearing a hospital band on his arm, leading investigators to believe he may have recently been discharged from a medical facility.
