An incident unfolded in the central Las Vegas valley, where a 64-year-old woman was hit by a car, resulting in life-threatening injuries. The collision took place last Saturday afternoon in the 720 block of Royal Crest Circle.
At around 4:05 p.m. local time, the woman was walking through a parking lot when she attempted to inconveniently step into the path of a 2015 Toyota Prius C. The car, making a left turn in an effort to enter a parking garage, struck the pedestrian, according to evidence from the scene reported by News 3 LV. The impact from the vehicle was enough to knock her to the ground. The driver, a 75-year-old woman, remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment following the incident, authorities said.
The injured pedestrian was quickly transported to a local hospital. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section is actively investigating the incident, according to 8 News Now.
