
The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the woman who fell victim to a fatal blaze in a Northwest Side apartment complex this weekend as Patrich Elizabeth Lindsay, aged 65. The catastrophic event marked by flames and chaos transpired at the Fredericksburg Place Apartment complex, located within the 3400 block of Fredericksburg Road, as reported by KSAT.
Upon the arrival of the San Antonio Fire Department shortly after the fire alarm sounded at 11 a.m., firefighters discovered a scene tainted by the aggressive dance of fire. According to the fire department, two units received the fire's ire, while smoke and water conspired to damage two others. It was clear that multiple people needed to evacuate as the fire licked the building's facade. Reporting the fire, authorities could not save the woman who was on a balcony calling for help before San Antonio Fire Department arrived, she was pronounced dead at the scene, as noted by KSAT.
Fire officials are working assiduously to unknot the cause of this tragedy, with San Antonio Fire Department spokesman Joe Arrington suggesting the fire seemed to have an accidental nature. The investigation into the fire's genesis is ongoing, as confirmed by the San Antonio Express-News, finding solace in the fact that no further injuries were suffered.
