
A fire on Christmas morning at Perry Place Apartments in Grand Blanc severely injured a 66-year-old woman. The fire, reported around 5:15 a.m., was contained to one apartment, with smoke seen at the door. First responders quickly arrived and had the fire under control by 5:40 a.m., as per ABC12.
The Grand Blanc police arrived before the fire department and found the woman unresponsive in her apartment, "immediately removing her," according to a statement from MLive. She was taken to Hurley Medical Center and is in critical condition. The Grand Blanc Township Fire Department also assisted.
No other individuals were injured in the incident, and the victim, who has not been named, suffered critical injuries. The fire, which occurred on a day usually marked by celebrations, is under investigation, with no details yet on its cause. "The cause of the fire remained under investigation later Wednesday morning," MidMichiganNow reported, with updates expected as the investigation continues.
