According to Fox5 Vegas, the accident occurred near Buffalo Drive and Spring Mountain Road at approximately 11:09 p.m.
Upon approaching Spring Shower Drive while driving a Camry east on Spring Mountain, a 46-year-old man struck the elderly pedestrian. News3LV reported that the woman was traversing south across west Spring Mountain, notably outside of a crosswalk at the time of the fatal encounter. The driver, showing no signs of impairment, remained at the scene and cooperated fully, undergoing voluntary sobriety tests.
In the aftermath of the accident, emergency medical services arrived swiftly but sorrowfully, their attempts at resuscitation proved fruitless as they pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
