A blaze ravaged a vacant one-story house in Houston's Trinity/Houston Gardens neighborhood on October 29, causing significant damage. The fire, which was reported at 10:59 a.m. on Wileyvale Road, did not result in any injuries. Firefighters from multiple stations responded to the scene and launched an offensive attack to subdue the flames, according to the City of Houston News.
Upon arrival, fire crews encountered substantial fire emanating from the structure. They conducted both primary and secondary searches that confirmed the absence of occupants. The fire was extinguished and all hot spots were addressed, with efforts shifting towards understanding the incident's cause, which remains under investigation. Despite the absence of injuries, the fire inflicted an estimated $60,000 in damages to the property.
A total of 32 personnel, including those from Stations 34, 39, 56, 43, 30 and Rescue 42, collaborated in the firefighting effort. The focused teamwork ensured that the adjacent properties were safeguarded from the blaze. The HFD Arson investigators have been brought into the loop to ascertain both the cause and origin of the fire.
