A house fire broke out in the Fort Bend Houston area last Saturday evening, but there were no injuries. The fire happened at a home on Reddy Ln. 15800 block, 77053, and firefighters arrived around 6:20 p.m., according to the Houston Fire Department.
The fire, which caused $60,000 in damage, is believed to have been accidental. Firefighters arrived to light smoke and quickly put out a small fire caused by a heat lamp used for pets. They were able to save $55,000 worth of property and used a fan to clear the smoke after the fire was under control, as reported by the Houston Fire Department.
A fire involving heating equipment was quickly controlled by 41 firefighters from Stations 59, 47, 80, 60, and Rescue 10. Their fast response prevented the fire from spreading and avoided injuries. The Houston Fire Department has not released further details.
