
An Adelanto man has been taken into custody for the alleged possession of a cache of more than 1,000 images and videos of child pornography, including disturbing content involving infants, following a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Identified as Lucio Vazquez Ramirez, age 36, the suspect was pinpointed through the collaborative efforts of Deputy J. Mora from the Victor Valley Station and the Specialized Investigations Division - Crimes Against Children Detail, as reported by the Victor Valley Sheriff's Department. The investigation, which began on December 6, led to a warranted search of Vazquez Ramirez's electronic devices and discovered the illicit materials.
A statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department detailed that Vazquez Ramirez faces charges under PC 311.11(a) for possession of child pornography and the weightier PC 311.11(c)(1), which pertains to possession of over 600 images of such prohibited content. According to the official press release, the suspect was booked at the High Desert Detention Center, with bail set at $90,000.
