The Alameda County Sheriff's Office has turned to the public in their search for Brian Mello, a 47-year-old man reported missing since December 14. Mello was last seen leaving his sister's residence on Via Cordoba in San Lorenzo and has not been seen or heard from since that day. The details of Brian's disappearance, along with a description of his physical appearance and last known attire, were released yesterday in a social media post from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.

According to the sheriff's office, Mello is described as 5' 10" tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds, and has hazel eyes and blonde hair. Distinctive features include "Cal Bear" and "Humboldt" tattoos on his calf. On the day he vanished, he wore a black beanie, a red Spiderman hooded sweatshirt, blue Spiderman sweatpants, and white shoes. Mello, who hails from Humboldt County, had been staying with his sister for a few weeks in Alameda County, but it's reported that aside from his sister, he does not have other family or friends in the area.

The sister of Brian Mello has expressed deep concern over his disappearance, especially considering that he had left without a cell phone or money. Although Mello is said to be familiar with public transportation, his current whereabouts remain unknown.

Authorities are asking the public to remain vigilant and to report any sightings or information to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office at (510) 667-7721 or contact their local law enforcement agency.
