A tragic car accident claimed the life of a Kalamazoo man in Oshtemo Township last Thursday night. According to FOX17, the crash occurred near Van Kal Street and H Avenue shortly before 9:10 p.m. The 36-year-old driver, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene after his car left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Michigan State Police are currently investigating the incident, suspecting that alcohol may have been a contributing factor. The driver had reportedly veered over the centerline before crashing into the tree. Notably, he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
