The episode, which unraveled after 10 p.m. yesterday in the 1600 block of Arlington, spurred an ongoing investigation by District 5 officers, as detailed on the SLMPD official website.
Initially, the victim provided officers with conflicting accounts of the events preceding the crime, and it was established after some investigation, that the woman had been in contact with an unidentified individual for a drug transaction, according to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department release. Upon her arrival at the scene along with her passenger, four men brandished handguns and commanded them to abandon her vehicle, following which they took off with the car.
