Art and environmental awareness will come together at an event hosted by the Fulton County Department of Public Works in Atlanta. The winners of the 2025 Art Calendar Contest, featuring works from Fulton County students, will be announced. Students were asked to explore the theme "Reimagine Water," using their art to highlight the importance of water and its connection to community and sustainability.
The annual reception, according to the Fulton County government, welcomes the public on Wednesday, December 18, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Fulton County Government Center Atrium. There, attendees can expect to fully be immersed in a display of youth creativity and insight, each piece aspiring to both celebrate and critically assess our relationship with this essential resource. The event also will see these young minds and their work duly recognized by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners with a proclamation at its meeting on the same day, a gesture to not only honor their artistry but to highlight its importance in the ongoing discourse around water conservation.
Information on the reception can be found on the Fulton County website, along with details on the proclamation ceremony. This event, free and open to the public, stands as a reminder of the power held within our youngest generations and the responsibility we share in nurturing such potential—for their futures and the future health of our planet.
