The Aurora Police Department is currently investigating a reported kidnapping incident that transpired on Sunday evening. According to KDVR, a teenage girl entered a coffee shop on Colfax Avenue and Scranton Street around 5:20 p.m. to use the facilities. This location marks the division between the Fitzsimons and Hoffman Heights neighborhoods, just south of the Children’s Hospital Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
Shortly following the girl's entrance, an unidentified woman is believed to have forced the teenager out of the coffee shop and into a vehicle. As reported by The Denver Gazette, the suspected abductor coerced the teen into a blue two-toned Ford F-150, noted to have been conspicuously missing its driver's side running board, an unusual characteristic that could aid in identification. Authorities have not been able to securely constitute a license plate number for the truck involved.
The search for the teenager and her alleged kidnapper is ongoing. As detailed by The Denver Post, the two-toned coloration of the truck and the absent running board is currently the only leads publicized that could help to possibly identify the vehicle in question. They were not able to identify a license plate.
