
On the night of November 28, a collision on FM 969 Road resulted in the death of one individual and serious injuries to two others. The Austin Police Department arrived at the 8200 block of the roadway around 9:15 p.m., as reported by the City of Austin. Pronounced dead at the scene, the identity of the driver in the fatal vehicle remains undisclosed pending notification of kin.
The driver and passenger of the second vehicle sustained serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital. The incident marks the city's 81st fatal traffic incident of the year, a grim tally that has now surpassed last year's count at this date when 80 crashes had resulted in 83 deaths, as detailed by the City of Austin.
