The Austin Police Department is on the lookout for several individuals concerning an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, an inquiry stemming from a recent home burglary that turned violent on Exchange Drive. On the afternoon of November 8, a homeowner returned to find his property actively ransacked by intruders, one of whom fired a gun at him while escaping, according to the City of Austin.
As of the incident, which unfolded just before 1 p.m., four suspects remain unidentified despite being implicated in the crime. APD requests that anyone with information come forward, offering a $1,000 reward for tips leading to arrests while the suspects considered armed and potentially dangerous, stay at large, and are all male between 18 to 25 years, with varying builds and clothing described in a detailed account by authorities, as per the City of Austin.
The primary suspect is of Hispanic descent, with a thin build, last spotted in a gray sweater, dark pants, and sporting a dark bandana alongside black shoes accented with red and white. The second suspect could be White or Hispanic, seen wearing a white tank top, dark pants, gray shoes, and a red and white jacket striking enough to stand out. A third suspect, also White or Hispanic, normal build, was last dressed in a white t-shirt, gray shorts, white and black shoes, brandishing a dark baseball cap and a bag slung across his chest. The fourth, potentially Black or Hispanic, was wearing a jersey emblazoned with "23," blue shorts, and white shoes, as detailed by the City of Austin.
