The city of Austin is set to experience a variety of weather patterns throughout the upcoming week, with temperatures oscillating from a sunny 62°F today to a potentially shower-filled Thursday. According to the latest update from the National Weather Service, conditions today will remain clear, allowing residents to enjoy a calm sunny day with a high near 62°F and light southeastern winds.
Evening temperatures are predicted to drop to a mostly clear 41°F with little to no wind, a stark contrast to the slightly warmer Sunday night, which is anticipated to bring clouds to our skies with lows resting around 56°F. The subtly changing weather patterns will continue into Monday, where the city awaits partly sunny skies and a higher chance for wind gusts as high as 20 mph.
As Tuesday approaches, there's a notable 40 percent possibility of showers post-noon, complemented by mostly cloudy conditions and a high of about 76°F. By Christmas Day, the intermittent clouds give way to more sun, with a high near 70°F that should afford some reprieve for holiday activities scheduled in the outdoors.
Looking ahead to Wednesday night, a mixture of clouds is expected to paint the horizon, while the probability of showers increases to 30 percent by Thursday. The coming days project a variation of partly sunny skies and scattered showers, where locals are advised to prepare for the 20 percent chance of precipitation likely to mark the end of the week.
