Baltimore County Police have apprehended a suspect linked to a recent shooting incident in Woodlawn. The shooting took place last Saturday, and a 47-year-old man, identified as Charles Pettus Jr., is now facing charges. According to the Baltimore County Police Department, the events unfolded early in the morning, around 1:10 a.m., prompting officers to rush to the scene on the 6400 block of Gilmore St. after reports of gunfire were received.
Upon their arrival, police discovered that the victim had managed to seek medical assistance at a nearby hospital, where they treated for a gunshot wound to the thigh. The injury was non-life-threatening, and the victim was subsequently released.
Pettus Jr. has been charged with attempted murder and first-degree assault. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, which suggests the authorities consider him to either be a flight risk or a danger to the community.
