Baltimore residents and visitors alike have four major events to mark on their 2025 calendars, as Mayor Brandon M. Scott, in conjunction with the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks (BCRP), proudly revealed the dates for the city's annual festivities. Year after year, these vibrant gatherings provide a platform for local artists and businesses and serve as community cornerstones, fostering meaningful connections among those in attendance.

"Starting in May, we will have not just one, but four spectacular events coming to Baltimore," Mayor Scott announced, per the City of Baltimore press release. The purpose of these events is to go beyond merely serving fun times. They essentially capture the city's soul by highlighting cultural prowess and local talent. Strategically woven into the fabric of Baltimore's seasonal transitions, each festival comes designed to integrate with the city’s vibrant cultural landscape seamlessly.

Here are the dates to circle: Artscape will kick off on Saturday, May 24, and continue through Sunday, May 25, 2025. AFRAM is slotted for the post-Juneteenth weekend on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, 2025. The Baltimore Caribbean Festival will bring tropical vibes on Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13, 2025. Finally, Charm City Live will wrap up Baltimore’s summer on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Furthermore, and perhaps to more effectively manage these events' complexity, the City is implementing a new public-facing calendar come January 1, 2025. This tool aims to streamline the collaboration and planning stages, allow City departments to wisely allocate their resources, and enhance synergies with external partners and the public, who now can more accurately plan in harmony with city event schedules.
