Baltimore has made a key arrest in connection with a homicide that unfolded in the city's Central District last month. According to the Baltimore Police Department, James Richburg, a 61-year-old Baltimore resident, is now in custody on charges for the shooting death of William Womack.
The investigation traced back to November 30, when patrol officers responded to South Eutaw Street after a shooting report at approximately 2 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered an individual—later identified as 30-year-old Womack—suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to an area hospital, he later succumbed to his injuries. The incident appeared to stem from a dispute on a bus, which tragically escalated to violence. Richburg was arrested aboard an MTA bus on North Fulton Avenue on Monday without incident.
Authorities transferred Richburg to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder.
