The streets of the Eastern District in Baltimore, usually echoing with the hustle of daily life, were the scene of a shooting on the evening of October 29. The Baltimore Police Department reported that officers responded to the 1800 block of North Collington Avenue after a call came in about a shooting incident. Upon their arrival, they found a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right leg.
The victim was soon transported to a nearby hospital and is listed in stable condition. As detectives delved into the case, their investigation led them to 45-year-old Travis Cothran. According to a statement by the Baltimore Police Department, yesterday at around 7 a.m., authorities apprehended Cothran at a residence in York, Pennsylvania. He was subsequently held at York County Prison.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting have not been fully disclosed. Still, the investigation by Eastern District Shooting detectives has turned a significant corner with Cothran's arrest. The suspect is now awaiting extradition back to Baltimore City, where he faces charges of attempted first-degree murder.
