
Law enforcement authorities have taken a suspect into custody in connection with a shooting in Baltimore's Central District that occurred in late October of this year. According to the Baltimore Police Department, 28-year-old Malik Joseph was arrested last Thursday. Joseph is accused of shooting a 25-year-old man on North Eutaw Street.
The investigators have charged Joseph with attempted first-degree murder after determining he allegedly shot the victim while in the 200 block of North Eutaw Street. The victim, who sustained an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound, was able to reach a nearby hospital on October 26, the day of the incident. Officers were called to the hospital around 1:10 p.m. to take the report and subsequently found a crime scene at the location of the shooting.
Following the arrest, Joseph was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. The police have not disclosed any additional details concerning the motive or circumstances that led to the shooting.
