
Early this morning in Baltimore's Eastern District, a distressing incident unfolded when officers discovered a teenage victim of a shooting. According to a media advisory released by the Baltimore Police Department, at around 9:50 a.m., police responded to a call from a residence in the 1100 block of Quantrill Way. Inside the home, they found an unresponsive 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.
When first responders arrived, the victim was already dead at the scene. The tragedy added to the city's ongoing violence, as officers face a different kind of battle that takes young lives in places meant to be safe.
