The Bartlesville community faces mourning following the tragic update on the disappearance of Clara Jean Louis. Having issued a Silver Alert earlier Christmas Day, local authorities found the missing 68-year-old deceased north of the Oak Park area outside Bartlesville city limits. Deputy Chief Andrew Ward, confirming the discovery, indicated that an investigation is currently proceeding in conjunction with the Osage and Washington County Sheriff's Offices, as reported by Bartlesville Radio.
Earlier, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, working in tandem with the Bartlesville Police Department, had initiated the Silver Alert after reports that Louis was last observed on foot in Bartlesville. Dressed in a blue zip-up hoodie, blue joggers, and blue Reebok slides, she was reported missing from her home on the 400 block of Northwest Sooner Road. Due to her medical conditions, including dementia and a history of seizures, the concern for Louis was immediate and profound, as stated in the alerts issued by OKC Fox.
Local police and fire departments spared no effort during the extensive search, issuing urgent public pleas for information that could lead to locating Louis. The prompt and coordinated actions underscored the community's commitment to protecting its vulnerable members, especially during a time that is generally marked by celebration and family gathering.
Prior to the discovery, the news of her disappearance was met with a swift public response, as citizens were urged to call 911 if they spotted her. After seeing someone dressed in a blue zip-up hoodie, blue joggers, with dementia walking, concerns escalated due to Louis' reported medical conditions. Authorities have not yet provided details on the circumstances surrounding Louis' death. However, they are continuing their investigation and promise to share updates as they become available, as per KTUL's report.
