On Atlantic Boulevard, an employee of the Beauty Max store was fatally run over by shoplifters. As reported by Action News Jax, two individuals stole several items and swiftly exited the store, while a third accomplice waited in the getaway vehicle. The employee in pursuit was struck and later pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office stated that the incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. at the Beauty Max on Atlantic Boulevard in the Kernan Village shopping plaza. A confirmation to News4Jax indicated that the two suspects fled the scene, with one escaping on foot after the hit-and-run.
With three individuals involved in the fatal incident, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is actively seeking information.
