Benbrook is set to ignite the holiday spirit with its 33rd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Fireworks Show, a beloved tradition that continues to captivate residents with its charm and festive atmosphere. Scheduled for Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Dutch Branch Park, the event promises an evening filled with holiday cheer and dazzling displays.
For over three decades, this cherished gathering has drawn families and friends together, becoming a cornerstone of the community’s holiday celebrations. Attendees can look forward to a magical scene: children’s faces alight with wonder as fireworks illuminate the night sky, the aroma of hot cocoa wafting through the crisp winter air, and Santa Claus making his grand entrance—not by sleigh, but aboard a fire truck, courtesy of the Benbrook Fire Department.
"Watch Santa and Mrs. Claus ride in on the fire truck, take pictures in the old-time sleigh, and enjoy hot cocoa during the lighting of the tree," the Benbrook Fire Department shared on social media, capturing the heartwarming essence of the festivities.
Beyond the spectacular lights and festive treats, the event serves as a vital reminder of the strength of community bonds. Such occasions foster connections, create cherished memories, and embody the spirit of togetherness that defines the holiday season. As the tree lights up and the fireworks sparkle, even the most reluctant revelers will find themselves embraced by the joy and unity that this special evening brings.
