The Bloomington Police Department (BPD) in Minnesota is inviting the community to embrace their inner detective this holiday season while supporting a good cause. As part of the Festival of Trees at the Mall of America, the BPD has set up its own uniquely decorated tree in a "winter wonderland of extraordinary trees," encouraging attendees to find it and enter a raffle for a chance to win crime-solving-themed prizes as posted on their Facebook page.
For $10, participants can purchase a raffle ticket, with proceeds benefiting the MOA Community Foundation, which supports educational initiatives across Minnesota. Each ticket offers the chance to win an array of exciting prizes, including a crime tech class, escape room passes, a murder mystery dinner ticket, and at-home crime-themed games.
The festival, located on Level 3, North Side of the Mall of America, showcases holiday trees creatively adorned by local businesses and organizations, blending festive cheer with community spirit. Funds raised through the event will directly support educational efforts, reinforcing the BPD’s commitment to strengthening local bonds and promoting goodwill. Whether residents join the hunt for the BPD tree or simply enjoy the holiday splendor, they contribute to a meaningful cause that extends beyond the season. More details about the event and how to participate can be found on the Festival of Trees webpage.
