Charlotte County Utilities has stated that all water used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute. This precautionary measure is recommended to ensure the safety and health of the community, and it applies to all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. Additionally, as an alternative, residents may use bottled water. The department has issued an apology for the inconvenience caused by the situation.
