Residents awoke to the news of a fire that ravaged a residence on Paine Street, as reported by the Boston Fire Department via social media on December 23rd. District Chief Eric Vinitsky briefed the media at the scene where fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, the fire's aftermath left two adults and four children without a home just days before the holiday season. The Boston Fire Department's post indicated that the American Red Cross of Massachusetts was stepping in to assist with housing for the displaced individuals.

The blaze, now being investigated by the Fire Investigation Unit, tore quickly through the building, forcing residents to abruptly evacuate. District Chief Vinitsky, while providing no further details on the potential cause, assured the public that a thorough investigation was underway.
The ongoing investigation will hopefully provide answers to better safeguard against future fires, to potentially prevent another family from experiencing similar loss and upheaval.
