The Stoughton Police Department is on the lookout for a Brockton man implicated in a series of motor vehicle break-ins, car thefts, and instances of credit card fraud. An arrest warrant has been issued for Elvis Andrade, 32, of Brockton, charging him with multiple offenses including larceny, improper use of a credit card, and receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

The investigation that led to the arrest warrant on Tuesday, stems from incidents dating back to early December. According to the police department's statement, a vehicle break-in was first reported at an apartment complex on Buckley Road on December 11, where a resident's car was broken into wearing Grinch pajamas. Subsequent reports indicated that debit cards stolen in the break-ins were used at various retail locations in Brockton.

Surveillance video captured a man using one of the stolen debit cards at a CVS, which was pivotal in tying the suspect to additional theft and credit card fraud cases, including a vehicle theft in Avon. The Stoughton Police, assisted by the Brockton Police Department, were able to identify Andrade as the suspect wanted in connection with these crimes, who, as of December 13, has five active arrest warrants.

The string of criminal activities attributed to Andrade include a vehicle theft on December 1, a separate vehicle break-in and credit card theft on December 4, and yet another car theft on December 9. Having obtained crucial evidence linking Andrade to these crimes, police are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to reach out to the Stoughton Police at 781-344-2424.
