
Early this morning, Brooklyn Park residents were roused by the sound of gunshots in a usually quiet neighborhood. According to a Brooklyn Park Police Department Alert, police hurried to the scene on the 8800 block of Douglas Drive North after receiving calls of gunfire at around 4:04 AM.
The officers found evidence of the shooting in the form of shell casings scattered on the street and a residence pierced by bullets. The home, while damaged, thankfully lacked any bodily harm to its occupants, as per the Brooklyn Park Police Department. No suspects have been identified at this time.
The Brooklyn Park police are actively investigating the incident and are requesting help from the community to track down any information related to the shooting.
