The incident occurred inside a brick row house on E. 81st near Flatlands Ave. in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn, around 9:25 p.m. yesterday, according to NY Daily News.
Police have identified the victim as 47-year-old Antoinette Stewart-Gordon, who was pronounced dead after suffering multiple stab wounds to the neck and abdomen, in an assault that saw her son sustaining a hand injury while medics rushed both to Brookdale University Hospital, her son is in stable condition but sadly, Stewart-Gordon's injuries proved fatal. A suspect who is known to the victims fled the scene and remains at large, as mentioned in reports by the authorities.
The New York Police Department described the stabbing as "domestic in nature," suggesting a more personal aspect to the violence, according to details from PIX11.
