Starting Dec. 1, commuters can partake in various festivities, which include a chance to win transit passes and enjoy complimentary breakfast items.
As reported by FOX 7 Austin, the public transit provider is hosting surprise breakfasts and coffee at select locations, the first one being at the University of Texas West Mall on Dec. 3 at 7 a.m., followed by other stations throughout the month, these pop-ups are not only a gesture of appreciation but also a warm invite into the communal space of shared journeys.
To enter the prize draw, CapMetro urges riders to share a selfie aboard its services with the hashtag #MagicOfTransit on social media platforms. The grand prize includes an annual Commuter Pass worth about $495; second and third place prizes offer shorter-term passes and additional perks, such as CapMetro merchandise and theater tickets, as detailed by KVUE.
Furthermore, the transit company is infusing a dose of festivity directly into the commutes, with La Murga Band set to perform on the Red Line on Dec. 14 as a way of spreading holiday cheer among passengers, the band known for its association with Austin FC will undoubtedly add a unique energy to the regular hum of transit life.
